Birds of prey have captured our imaginations for centuries. And thanks to our friends at North East Falconry, we’ll have a selection of these gorgeous animals on display just for us. Owls, hawks and falcons against our stunning castle backdrop... how very fitting.

11am - Country Walk

Meet in Gun Room - run by Silverley

A mid-morning jaunt with our resident roaming hare, along the South Tyne to Lambley Viaduct. The distance is about 4.5 miles - we should be back by lunch!

11am - Puppeteering

GreenReaper and his friends will give an overview of puppeteering, from Jim Henson to Pawpet Shows. He will also have a few puppets to demonstrate.

Twizell Toasties

3pm - Kubb Tournament

Outside - run by Tyde

What is Kubb, I hear you ask? In short, it’s Viking lawn chess. Form your war-party of three, take down your opponents’ pieces before aiming for the King. And yes, there will be prizes on offer.

7pm - BBQ

Weather permitting, of course! Outside if weather is fine, in the Red Room otherwise.

8pm - Furries Got Talent

Main Hall - run by Husk

Here we are now, entertain us. Whether you can sing, dance, play music, or make us all laugh, we’d love to see what you can do.

11pm - Ghost Hunt

Meet in Gun Room - run by Greskil

Featherstone has its fair share of ghost stories, including a ghostly 17th Century hunting party. Which spectres will visit us this night? Join Greskil and find out.

- Trip to Beamish Museum (optional)

Beamish, the award-winning Living Museum of the North, is one of the most popular attractions in the North East. You’ll soon find out why when you hop aboard a vintage tram, to visit the farm, pit village, Edwardian High Street, fun fair, traditional fish and chip shop (with more Fentiman’s!), and much more. As is tradition, we’ll head here for our “Dead Dog” post-con event. Transport/car shares will be provided if you require it. Admission fees apply - currently £21.00, giving you unlimited access for 12 months. There is a vast amount to see and do here, so we’ll almost certainly stay until closing time (5pm). This is one Dead Dog event where dabs are very much allowed!

Across the weekend

Sword Workshops

Main Hall - run by Sascha SwordDerg

Do you like swords? Do you like medieval combat? Our sword-wielding dragon has over 20 years’ combat experience, so if you want to learn some fancy swordplay, come and show us what you’re made of!
